The Lowellville Rod & Gun Club, 6225 Quarry Road, will have fall turkey shoots every Tuesday from Sept. 6 through Nov. 22.

Sign-up begins at 6 p.m., and shoots begin at 7. Shoots will be for meat and money prizes. Shells will be provided.

Ohio hunters are invited to enjoy early waterfowl seasons for Canada geese and teal that begin Sept. 3, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Hunters are reminded to check regulations for changes to rules, season dates and bag limits as the 2016 fall seasons begin.

A summary of Ohio’s hunting and trapping regulations is available where licenses are sold, at ODNR Division of Wildlife offices and at wildohio.gov.

Canada geese may be hunted from sunrise to sunset Sept. 3-11 with a daily bag limit of five birds. Teal may be hunted from sunrise to sunset Sept. 3-18 with a daily bag limit of six birds.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will offer eight goose hunting blinds weekdays during goose season (Sept. 3-11) in areas throughout Mosquito Lake State Park’s nonpublic hunting areas on the south end of the lake.

Maps and sign-up sheets will be posted on the park office door each day before the hunt. Hunting hours are till noon (except Labor Day) with three hunters permitted in each blind.
