CANFIELD
Aug. 11
Drug abuse: Police arrested Melissa Parish, 38, of South Raccoon Road, Youngstown on charges of drug abuse, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and failure to comply.
Aug. 12
Suspicious activity: A resident in the 400 block of Fairground Boulevard reported suspicious activity and possible harassment.
Aug. 13
Possible computer scam: A possible computer scam was reported at a home in the in the 400 block of Fairview Avenue. There was no financial loss. The computer was serviced for a possible virus.
Aug. 14
Counterfeit bills: A private-party transaction for the sale of a video-gaming system was made in the parking lot at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St. The victim alleged receipt of counterfeit bills for payment.
Aug. 15
Theft: Police arrested Darien Holland, 22, of Fairlawn, on charges of criminal simulation and theft, related to the gaming-system sale.
Aug. 16
Obstructing official business: Police arrested Lauren Roberson, 33, of Fairlawn, on a charge of obstructing official business.
Warrant: Police arrested Maribeth Ensign, 52, of Palmyra Road, North Jackson, on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.
Aug. 18
Vehicle damaged: The rear window of a vehicle was shattered at a home in the 20 block of Dartmouth Avenue.

Aug. 15
Theft: Several tools were reported stolen from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A bicycle was stolen from a home in the 100 block of North Beverly Avenue.
Theft: Two 20-inch bicycles were stolen from a home in the 100 block of North Beverly Avenue.
Aug. 16
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Michael Williams, 29, of Fairfax Street, Youngstown, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Telecommunications harassment: There is a suspect in a case of telecommunications harassment at a home in the 4000 block of Nottingham Drive.
Theft: A male suspect picked up a victim’s wallet and took it at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Checks were cashed at a home in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Menacing: Threatening text messages were reported at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A female walked out on a bill at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.
Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Angelina Benedis, 37, of East Lucius Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Aug. 17
Burglary: Forced entry was made to an attached garage and a detached garage at a home in the 5000 block of Red Apple Drive.
Animal complaint: A pitbull killed a Chihuahua at a home in the 200 block of Carnegie Avenue.
Domestic violence: Police arrested Eric Clausen, 33, of London Drive on a domestic-violence charge.
Warrant: Police arrested James Peyatt, 53, of Fairview Avenue, Warren, on a charge of criminal trespassing at Pilot Oil, 150 N. Canfield-Niles Road. He also had a warrant for failure to comply with probation, contempt of court and criminal trespassing.
Identity theft: A satellite Dish account was opened in the victim’s name at a home in the 1000 block of Cedarwood Drive.
Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted phone calls were reported at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West Drive.
Domestic violence: Police arrested Angela Dejesus, 38, of the 2000 block of Redgate Lane on a domestic-violence charge.
Aug. 18
Burglary: A window was smashed and a television and DVD player were taken from an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.
Recovered property: A Social Security card was found at Westchester Square Apartments, 4811 Westchester Drive.
Aug. 19
Disorderly conduct: Police arrested James Hanson, 54, of Akron, on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and aggravated menacing at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A fence was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of South Saratoga Avenue.
Theft: Personal belongings were reported stolen at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.
Menacing: There is a suspect in a case of menacing at a home in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Warrant: Police arrested Anthony Seidita, 51, of DeHoff Drive on a warrant for petty theft and assault.
Theft: Fraud was reported involving Ohio Restoration Group LLC, South Meridian Road, at a home in the 5000 block of Cider Mill Crossing.
Theft/recovered property: Condoms were taken from Kmart but later recovered.
Criminal trespassing: Police arrested Erik Carlson, 28, homeless, on a charge of criminal trespassing.
Theft: An unlocked Jeep was entered and items stolen. The Jeep was parked at Cocca Development, 50 Westminster Ave.
Aug. 20
Theft: A cellphone was taken from a store buggy at Walmart.
Aug. 21
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Bryant Spence, 26, of Trumbull Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They also arrested him on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.
Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Brian Schaffer, 64, of Plumbrook Drive, Canfield, on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Dijonn Green, 23, of Fifth Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
