Carli Angelo and Makayla Trebella each had four kills for Girard. Melanie Bakes had 11 helpers. Trebella and Bakes each had an ace. Trebella also led the way with six service points along with eight digs. Megan Payich added seven digs. Sydney Teter had the most blocks with four.

Brookfield 25-25-25, Warren Harding 12-17-17

WARREN

Bailey Drapola led Brookfield (1-2) with 13 kills, 12 digs, four aces and two blocks in a sweep over the Raiders. Olivia Vogal had 12 kills, Sam Smith added 10 digs and Kenzie Drapola racked up 33 assists. Statistics for Harding were not reported.

Valley Christian 16-15-24

YOUNGSTOWN

Caitlin Lewis had 26 digs and three aces while Krisy Eckman had eight kills and three digs in a Leetonia (1-1) win over Valley Christian. Delaney Mellinger added 11 assists, 12 digs and six aces in the win. Statistics for Valley Christian were not reported.

Crestview 25-25-25, Southern 14-16-20

EAST FAIRFIELD

Mackenzie Daub had 16 kills in Crestview’s (2-0) win. Taylor Oliver had eight kills and Natasha Salmen ended with 17 digs. Lizzie Willis led Southern with six kills while Alivia Brothers had 10 digs in defeat.

Jackson-Milton 25-20-25-25, South Range 23-25-16-22

NORTH JACKSON

Sierra Huff led Jackson-Milton (2-1) with 25 kills while Kaitlyn Totani added 13 of her own. Huff also had eight solo blocks and Julissa Tomaino had 30 assists. Gracie Hiner had 17 kills and Cara Mason had eight more for South Range.

Mathews 25-25-25, Badger 18-14-20

VIENNA

Morgan Williams had 12 kills to lead Mathews while Paige Sponsler added five more. Alivia Oulton and Katarina Schubert each had three aces. Noelle Migliozzi had 19 digs. Katherine Blaney led Badger with three kills.

Bristol 18-25-25-25, Newbury 25-13-21-19

NEWBURY

Kaylie Rowland had eight aces, Hailee Elza had seven kills and Bristol rolled to a four-set win on the road. Kaylie Rowland added 10 digs and Kendyl Switzer had four blocks in the win.

GIRLS SOCCER

Springfield 5, Leetonia 0

LEETONIA

Grace Groner and Haley LaMorticella both scored a pair of goals, with Cierra Latronica also adding a goal. Cierra led the team with three assists and Courtney Hughes had an assist. Lex Slike had four saves for Springfield. Zoe Bruderly had 10 saves for Leetonia.

South Range 1, Salem 1

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Lydia McKee got the scoring going for Salem approximately 10 minutes into the second half before South Range’s Casey Lindstrom equalized about 10 minutes later. South Range hosts Columbiana Monday at 5 p.m.

The game was called after a scoreless half due to lightning.

YOUNGSTOWN
