The Canfield High School Cardinal Pride Marching Band will present its 42nd annual Show of Bands at Canfield High School Stadium at 7 p.m. on Aug. 30.
The show, “Rock of Ages,” will showcase the Cardinal Pride Marching Band’s tribute to legendary rock anthems from across the rock-n-roll eras with songs such as “Jump” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
The following bands, along with the more than 170 members of the Cardinal Pride Marching Band, will take part in this year’s Show of Bands: Austintown Fitch Marching Band, Boardman Spartan Marching Band, Champion High School Marching Thunder, Poland Bulldog Marching Band, Struthers Wildcat Marching Band and West Branch High School Marching Band.
“As always, this is an important fundraiser for the band. The money raised at this event will be placed in the general band fund to be used in support of the Canfield band programs for grades 5-12,“ said Traci DeCapua, Band Night chairperson.
This year, Junior Drum Major Haley Tura and Senior Drum Major Grant DeCapua will lead the Cardinal Pride Marching Band onto the field under the direction of Michael Kelly.
“This special band event is one of the finest in the valley and we are proud to be able to offer this musical evening to our families, friends and Canfield community,” Kelly said.
Adult tickets for the 42nd Annual Canfield High School Cardinal Pride Marching Band Show of Bands are $5, and student/senior tickets are $3.
