Man goes down on restroom floor with needle in hand and faces jail
YOUNGSTOWN
A Columbiana man has a police hold on him at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after he was found Thursday face down on the floor of a Youngstown-Poland Road fast food restaurant.
Reports said police were called to about 6:55 p.m. to the Taco Bell on Youngstown-Poland Road for a report of a man who had been in the restroom for a long time.
Officers went to the door and heard someone taking regular loud breaths like they were struggling to breathe, reports said.
The officers forced open the door and found Joshua Ham, 26, face down on the floor unconscious with a needle in his hand.
In a bathroom stall officers found a dose of heroin, reports said. Employees told police that Ham comes into to the restaurant and spends at least 15 minutes alone inside the bathroom, reports said.
Reports said Ham was still unconscious at the hospital. He will be taken to the Mahoning County jail when he is released from the hospital on charges of possession of heroin and possession of a drug abuse instrument.
