Woman found dead in Warren identified as Amanda Brock

WARREN

Police today identified the woman found dead in a house on Porter Street Northeast last week as Amanda V. Brock, 34, whose address was listed as Peterstown, W.Va.

Police do not yet know what caused her death and are waiting for toxicology results to help with that, said Sgt. Joe Kistler of the Warren Police Department detective bureau.

Brock also had an address on Newton Drive in Newton Falls in 2015, when she was convicted of petty theft in Newton Falls Municipal Court.

There appear to be no other records naming her in Trumbull County courts.

A resident of the 200 block of Porter said she went to her porch at 11 p.m. Aug. 17 and found a woman on the porch shaking and crying. The woman asked to stay that night because she had “nowhere to go,” the resident said.

The resident, 19, allowed the woman to sleep on her couch while the resident and her infant son slept in the bedroom with the door locked, she told police.

The woman, described as 20 to 30 years old and blond, was found dead on the couch the next morning.
