Lightning delays two games

Season-opening high school football games at Struthers and Niles have been delayed by lightning tonight.

Struthers led Liberty 14-6 late in the first quarter when lightning was spotted and play was stopped at Wildcat Stadium.

Niles led Girard 7-6, also late in the first quarter, when play was stopped at Bo Rein Stadium.

Lisbon leads Tuscarawas Central Catholic 19-7 in the first quarter at War Memorial Stadium in Lisbon.
