Liberty-Struthers game postponed

STRUTHERS — The Liberty-Struthers football game tonight at Wildcat Stadium has been postponed with the host Wildcats leading 14-6 late in the first quarter.

Lightning delayed the game and when the game could not be resumed by 8:30 p.m., the teams elected to return to Wildcat Stadium at 7 p.m. on Friday to resume play.

Two other games in the Mahoning Valley were delayed tonight.

The Girard-Niles game at Bo Rein Stadium also has been delayed by lightning tonight, but play resumed at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Niles led 7-6 with 3:56 to play in the first quarter when play was stopped.

The Tuscarawas Central Catholic-Lisbon game at Lisbon's War Memorial Stadium was delayed with the Blue Devils leading 26-7 in the first quarter.
