JCC will host movie and lunch bunch

The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane, will host a “Movie and Lunch Bunch” series. It will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 14. The movie “Brooklyn” will be shown during lunch in the multipurpose room.

It is based on the best-selling novel, “Brooklyn” a warm story about falling in love and finding your way home. Oscar nominee Saoise Ronan plays Ellis Lacey, a young Irish immigrant navigating through 1950s Brooklyn. Although her initial homesickness soon gives way to romance, when Ellis’s life is disrupted by news from her hometown, she is forced to choose between two countries and two men on opposite sides of the world.

The cost is $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers, $10 after Sept.12, and includes the movie and a light lunch.
