Rotarians prepare Austintown for flags

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR A group of Austintown Rotarians met Aug. 13 at the corner of Raccoon Road and Mahoning Avenue to clean up the Rotary sign as part of the return of American flags along streets in the community. The flags will be featured for Labor Day, 9/11 and Veterans Day before being retired for the winter. Austintown Fitch High School robotics and swim team will help the Rotary by fundraising. Flags can be purchased from any Rotarian, at www.austintownflags.com, or by calling 330-720-0381. Flags cost $30 a year and cover six holidays. Rotarians who participated in the clean up included Stephanie Fabian, left, Jeremy Batchelor, Justin Yost, and president Ed Kalaher. Gary Reel also participated in the program.
