Great Lakes Jet Express last flight to Chicago from Youngstown-Warren is tonight

VIENNA — Great Lakes Jet Express flew its last flight tonight, Aerodynamics Inc. , the company that operates the flights said in a press release sent out late tonight. Aerodynamics Inc. was notified by the Western Reserve Port Authority on Aug. 17 that they wish to end their contracted air service between the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport and Chicago O'Hare International Airport.

"ADI had hoped to negotiate an orderly discontinuation of service, but unfortunately have been unable to come to terms with the Western Reserve Port Authority Board," the press release say. "The reluctance of the WRPA Board to come to a reasonable ceasing of operations and services leaves ADI with no option other than to discontinue air service immediately."

Passengers with reservations on these flights from Youngstown and Chicago should contact Great Lakes Airlines to process their refunds. Ticket holders will not be penalized for the termination of service.
