Youngstown man faces robbery charge after arrest in Campbell

CAMPBELL — A man was arraigned today in Campbell Municipal Court after police say he stole $15.75 from a woman outside a McDonald’s restaurant on McCartney Road.

James Williams, 42, of Youngstown faces a felony robbery charge. A judge set his bond at $8,000.

An 18-year-old New Castle, Pa. woman called police before 8 a.m. Monday and said a man approached her car near the drive-thru and said he needed money for himself and his daughter because his car was out of gas. The woman said the man leaned against her car door and said he would leave her alone if she gave him her change, a police report states.

Police arrested Williams based on a physical description via a traffic stop at McCartney Road near 6th Street.
