Women’s Equality Day at Upton House

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Harriet Taylor Upton House, 380 Mahoning Ave, Warren, will host a celebration of Women’s Equality Day at noon Friday. The celebration will begin in Women’s Park, adjacent to the House. Refreshments will follow inside the building. Women’s Equality Day commemorates the signing of the 19th amendment into law on Aug. 26, 1920, which gave women the right to vote. Kay Fisher, left, and Ken Conklin, trustees of the Upton House, will welcome guests to the event.
