Wellsville teens face underage drinking, drug charges

BOARDMAN — Wellsville teens face a host of charges, including underage drinking and drug abuse, after their arrest Sunday morning in the township.

Township police stopped a car with five juveniles on Market Street and Washington Boulevard at 2 a.m.

Police spoke to the driver, identified as Johnna Stokes, 17, of Chester Avenue, Wellsville, who they discovered had no driver’s license. The car belonged to one of the passengers, Kira Roe, 17, of Hillcrest Road, also of Wellsville, who admitted she allowed Stokes to drive without a license.

Other passengers were Anthony Petrelle, 17, of School Road; Zane Pearson, 16, of Riverside Avenue; and Keelee Earich, 17, of Wood Street, all of Wellsville.

After a search of the car, officers found alcohol and suspected marijuana in the vehicle. The teens are all charged with a curfew violation.

Police also charged Roe with underage alcohol possession and wrongful entrustment. Pearson is charged with underage alcohol possession, as well as drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The teens were released to their parents and guardians pending further action in Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.
