5K run and dog walk

Legacy Dog Rescue, an animal- rescue organization that operates in Mahoning and Trumbull counties, plans a 5K run and dog walk in Brittany Szwedko’s memory. Proceeds will go to a scholarship at Youngstown State University that’s being established in her name. Some details:

When: Sept. 17. The run starts at 8 a.m. with the dog walk beginning at 8:30.

Where: Austintown Township Park, Kirk Road.
