Bill Kelly named Cumulus Media VP

YOUNGSTOWN

Cumulus Media announces the appointment of 35-year Youngstown market radio veteran Bill Kelly as vice president/market manager for its eight-station cluster in Youngstown, effective Oct. 3.

Kelly has a long career in Youngstown radio, starting with the original owners of WKBN-AM.

He helped to build the six-station iHeart Media cluster when it was first acquired by Jacor in 1997.

He retired from iHeart Media in late February, where he was regional president of a territory that included Youngstown, and Washington Court House in Ohio and three West Virginia markets.

Summer Songfest to be staged Aug. 27

JD’s Summer Songfest II, a free all-ages day of acoustic music and community, will be at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Quaker Steak and Lube, 5800 Interstate Blvd.

The event will include performances by JD Eicher, the Labra Brothers, Steve Everett and Ryan Humbert.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley will be the recipient of charitable activities.
