PRESIDENTIAL RACE | Trump schedules Monday rally at University of Akron arena

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will return to northeast Ohio for a rally Monday.

His campaign says the event at the University of Akron's James A. Rhodes Arena starts at 7 p.m.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports it's the first time that either major-party presidential candidate has visited Akron during this campaign, though the swing state is no stranger to such visits.

Trump was nominated at the GOP convention in Cleveland. He returned Tuesday with a visit to Youngstown, where his speech on foreign policy focused partly on his proposal to suspend immigration from dangerous parts of the world.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton visited Cleveland the following day and talked about taxes, saying Trump would cut taxes for rich people while she would force the super-wealthy to pay more.
