GUILDS

Embroiderers Guild of America, Youngstown Area Chapter, will meet Tuesday. The morning session is at 10 a.m. and the evening session at 7:30 p.m. Both will be followed by the educational needlework program “Hardanger Candle Mat, Part II.” Guest stitchers are welcome. Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will present “A Country Fair” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. It will feature Marty Campana, auctioneer, and guest speaker Paula Abbott of Terrell, Texas, who will address “Freedom Behind Closed Doors.” The cost is $13.50 and includes lunch.
