Youngstown woman arrested in Boardman on theft charge

BOARDMAN — A Youngstown woman will appear for an arraignment hearing later today in Mahoning County Area Court on a robbery charge.

According to a police report, officers arrested Theodaysha Wiley, 26, of Wilbur Avenue on Wednesday afternoon at the J.C. Penny store at the Southern Park Mall on Market Street.

A store employee reported Wiley tried to steal $302.50 in store merchandise. When confronted by loss-prevention personnel, Wiley fought back and tried to escape, but was detained until police arrived.

She was taken to Mahoning County jail, but posted a $12,000 bond for her release.
