Youngstown man faces robbery charges

YOUNGSTOWN — Rashun Tennant, 29, is in the Mahoning County jail on a charge of aggravated robbery after reports said he tried to rob two men about 12:50 a.m. today in a parking lot in the first block of McGuffey Road on the East Side.

One of the men told police he fired several shots at Tennant. He was found at Andrews Avenue and Valley Street bleeding from the head. Reports said he told officers he was injured playing football.

The two men, however, identified Tennant as the man who tried to rob them. He was arrested after he was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital because he was grazed in the head by a bullet.
