Pair jailed after bank robbery in Hermitage, Pa.

HERMITAGE, PA. — Two men are in custody at the Trumbull County Jail awaiting extradition after their purported roles in a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon in Hermitage.

Alexander Penn, 41, and Anthony Wilburn, 43, both of Cleveland, are charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Hermitage police say the men walked into Citizens Bank on East State Street about 12:40 p.m. and left a note demanding money.

Police reported the men left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, but did not display a weapon during the exchange.

The men drove over the state line into Ohio before being stopped by Hubbard city police Tuesday, officers reported.
