One of three people arraigned in municipal court Monday on felony drug charges also was caught dumping tires at a South Side field, reports said.

Donald White, 59, of Salineville, was arraigned in municipal court Monday on charges of illegal open burning or dumping and possession of drugs. His bond was set at $15,000.

White was arrested after an off-duty officer alerted police about 2:50 p.m. Saturday that he saw a truck behind the football field at Gibson Field and someone in the truck was dumping tires.

An officer was dispatched and found White and another man. At first, White told police he stopped to use the portable toilet, but he later admitted to dumping 20 tires, reports said. When his car was searched before it was towed, police found three doses of suspected crack cocaine in a gym bag and a crack pipe.

The passenger was released, reports said.

Assistant City Prosecutor Jeffrey Moliterno asked visiting Judge Paul Mitrovich for a high bond for White, saying that the city is plagued by illegal dumping and the dumping charge is a felony, punishable by a fine between $10,000 and $25,000 and a prison term of between two and four years. Because of the severity of the penalties, Judge Mitrovich agreed.

Also arraigned on a felony charge of possession of drugs was Karl McCullough, 54, of Wychwood Lane.

McCullough was arrested about 1:05 a.m. Saturday at Hillman and Myrtle avenues after he was pulled over for an improper turn and officers found suspected ground-up crack cocaine in his car. He was given a bond of 10 percent of $5,000.

Arraigned on a felony charge of illegal conveyance of prohibited items into a detention facility and two warrants was Rayshuana Pete, 23, of Cleveland, who was arrested on the warrants about 10 p.m. Friday after a records check done on her at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital found that she had two warrants from municipal court.

Reports did not say why she was at the hospital.

After she was taken to the jail, she admitted once she was inside that she had marijuana in her clothing, reports said.

Judge Mitrovich set her bond at $15,000.
