House Republicans receive FBI notes from Clinton interview

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House oversight committee says it has received FBI documents related to the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.

A spokeswoman for the committee says the committee is reviewing documents that are labeled classified.

The announcement comes as a conservative group announced they would receive copies of thousands of previously undisclosed work-related emails sent or received by former Secretary Hillary Clinton.

The emails were recovered as part of the FBI’s yearlong probe into whether Clinton and her aides mishandled sensitive information flowing through a private email server located in the basement of her New York home. After the FBI closed its investigation without finding evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the Democratic presidential nominee, the State Department asked for copies of the recovered emails.
