TRUMP IN YOUNGSTOWN | Vindicator staff, other media in place at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN — The Vindicator staff has made it through various checkpoints, and had equipment checked by a bomb-sniffing dog, and are inside the Chestnut Room at Youngstown State University's Kilcawley Center for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's appearance here.
Well, sort of.
The Trump campaign has the press sectioned off from those at the invitation-only event, about 50 feet from where the candidate will stand. However, Vindicator reporters and photographers are able to freely walk around and talk with those at the event at this time.
Trump is scheduled to start his speech around 2 p.m.
The media and the audience must be inside by 1:30 p.m. There are supposed to be about 350 people at this invitation-only event and several of them are already here while about 100 others are slowly making their way inside the room.
