TRUMP IN YOUNGSTOWN | Supporters excited about today's event

YOUNGSTOWN — Marco Morgione, a senior at Ursuline High School, is a Donald Trump supporter, and he's excited by today's event.

"The younger you are when you get educated about politics, the better informed you are when you get older," Morgione said.

People are gathering in the Chestnut Room at Youngstown State University's Kilcawley Center for Republican presidential nominee Trump's appearance here. It is expected to start at 2 p.m.

Kathy Miller of Boardman is the Mahoning County chairman of the Trump campaign.

"I believe we need him in this country," said Miller, a former Boardman Township trustee.

Tom Zamary of Poland secured a ticket through the Mahoning County Republican Party. He's eager to hear Trump's foreign policy speech.

ISIS is affecting the lives of Americans, he said referencing the hassle airport security.

"We have to have a more aggressive approach to eliminating ISIS," Zamary said.

Dave Johnson, Columbiana County Republican Party chairman, believes Youngstown is the right place for Trump to deliver the Republican Presidential nominee's first foreign policy speech.

"Ohio is a battleground state and eastern Ohio is where he had his strongest showing and Youngstown is the largest city in eastern Ohio," he said.
