TRUMP IN YOUNGSTOWN | The Rock gets two make-overs prior to YSU event

YOUNGSTOWN — Someone painted over an anti-Donald Trump slogan on The Rock outside of Youngstown State University’s Kilcawley Center, but it wasn’t the university.

Shannon Tirone, associate vice president for university relations, said a group of college-aged people painted The Rock with “Love Trumps Hate” Sunday night.

A protest is planned outside the center where Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, is scheduled to speak this afternoon by the group that painted the slogan.

“They couldn’t have been nicer,” Tirone said.

But by this morning, The Rock had been repainted white.

YSU didn’t do it, she said.

“We don’t know who did it,” Tirone said.
