Salem library announces upcoming events

Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., is announcing upcoming free events in its Quaker Room that are open to the public.

Rachel Krych, author of the blog “Couponing with Rachel,” will share her knowledge and experience with couponing from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 22. The class is appropriate for novices or experts, and Krych will explain how to find, organize and use coupons effectively. Registration is required; visit www.salem.lib.oh.us or call 330-332-0042.

On Aug. 24 a Fix It Wizard program will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Quaker Meeting Room. Charles Cooper of Salem’s Busy Beaver Home Improvement Store will provide basic instruction on dealing with faucet problems. Register online or call the library for information and registration assistance.

The library also will offer a jigsaw puzzle exchange from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 17. Participants are asked drop off unwanted puzzles at the library’s adult circulation desk, pick up tickets during regular business hours Sept. 2 through 16 and take tickets to the library the day of the exchange to trade for new puzzles.
