Orthodox food festival set for Sept. 17, 18


HERMITAGE, PA.

The fourth annual Orthodox Food Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 17 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 18 at St. George Serbian Grounds, 65 S. Keel Ridge Road. It will benefit area Orthodox churches, Christian Academy and Preschool and Prince of Peace Food Bank.

All parking donations will benefit Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Christian Academy and Preschool in Warren.

There will be food from various cultures: Serbian roasted lamb, pork and grilled cevapi; Greek gyros and stuffed grape leaves; Romanian roasted chicken and mititei; and Ukrainian pirogi, stuffed cabbage and haluski. There also will be music, pastries and church tours. Food items will be available for takeout.

There will be a basket auction, gift baskets, gift certificates and a bookstore. Donations are appreciated. Ads can be placed in the brochure and cost from $10 to $100. To place an ad, call Al Rummel at 724-699-4158 or Phileea Leftheris Cameron at 724-813-5794 before Aug. 26.
