The mental health and recovery board recently allocated $8,147,138 to core agencies for fiscal year 2017 (July 1, 2016- June 30, 2017) compared with $7,995,704 for fiscal year 2016.

Fiscal year 2017 allocations

Compass Family and Community Services, $1,998,141.86; Help Hotline Crisis Center, $1,775,980.44; Turning Point Counseling, $1,554,317; Meridian HealthCare, $1,184,608.16; Neil Kennedy Recovery Center, $465,735.

Alta Behavioral Healthcare (former D&E Counseling), $455,476.; Youngstown Urban Minority and Drug Abuse Outreach Program (YUMADOAP), $365,352; Homes for Kids, $196,192.; Flying High Inc., $165,974; Catholic Charities Regional Agency, $104,590.22; Mahoning County Community Support Network (CSN), $77,000; Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center, $60,000, which is included in the Alta allocation.

Mercy Foundation, $42,250; Goodwill Industries, $33,000; Coalition for a Drug Free Mahoning County, $25,800; Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities (ACLD), $25,000; Potential Development, $24,946; Organizacion Civica y Cultural Hispana Americana Inc. (OCCHA), $18,000; Northeast Forensic Psychiatric Care, $17,028; Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley, $10,000.

Braking Point, $10,000; Mahoning Valley Dispute Resolution, $7,000; NAMI – Mahoning Valley, $6,100; Carter House, $5,000; Gypsy House, $5,000; Christy House, $4,000; Oh WOW, $3,500; Young Women Mentoring Program of the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, $3,000; Alzheimer’s Network, $3,000.
