Boardman police investigating poisoning of three dogs

BOARDMAN — Township police are investigating a Hunters Cove couple’s complaint their three dogs were poisoned Sunday night.

The victims told police they took their dogs to the veterinarian after discovering they ate rat poison. The two found rat poison cubes covered in peanut butter in their backyard after returning home.

The victims believe the suspects may be people they know due to past issues. The police will view the home’s surveillance videos to look for a suspect or suspects.
