Austintown Fitch hires new high-school baseball coach

AUSTINTOWN — Austintown School District announced the hiring today of a new baseball coach – Fitch alumni and veteran teacher, Joe Paris.

Paris has been a teacher at AMS for the past 22 years. He also brings a wealth of knowledge to the program being a former baseball player for Rich Coppola and a pitcher for The University of Akron baseball team, according to a district news release.

Paris will fill the position of longtime coach, Wally Ford, who dedicated many years to the baseball program in addition to being a teacher at Fitch.
