Tonight's OVI checkpoint cancelled

The OVI checkpoint scheduled for tonight has been cancelled due to the forecast of possible severe thunderstorms through the early morning hours of Sunday.

Severe weather creates a safety concern for both the officers working at the checkpoint and motorists traveling the roadways, according to Canfield Police Department.

The checkpoint will be rescheduled at a later date.
