William Penn and Van Nelson will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the Game Changers Concept and the importance of this election.

“A Conversation with Dee” (today at 6:30 p.m. on MyYTV and Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WYTV-TV): Host Dee Crawford welcomes Ellie Platt, a member of the newly organized Downtown Youngstown Partnership. The group functions as a committee of Youngstown Cityscape.

Green Day album

The pop-punk trio Green Day tends to show up with new music around volatile election seasons, and 2016 will be no different. The band has announced a new 12-track album, “Revolution Radio,” due out Oct. 7 on longtime label Reprise.

The record is the first since 2012’s album trilogy, “Uno!” “Dos!” and “Tre!”; their introduction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Billie Joe Armstrong’s difficult rehab stint.

The deadline for artists to submit entries for the First Night Youngstown button art contest is Aug. 31. The design must include the phrase First Night Youngstown 2017, and it can be a rectangular shape, horizontal or vertical. The buttons will be 2 inches by 3 inches.
