Miss Begezda, Mr. Smith set wedding date

Allison Begezda and Brett Smith, both of Austin, Texas, are engaged and planning an Oct. 1 wedding. Their parents are announcing their engagement. Her parents are Dr. Stephen and Diane Begezda of Poland, and his parents are Thomas Smith of Canfield and the late Judy Smith.

The wedding will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Family Parish in Poland. An evening reception will follow at 6 p.m. at the Lake Club in Poland. Invitations will be issued for both events.

The future bride graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in English. She also graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a master’s degree in publishing. She works as a senior marketing manager for Association Management Center in Chicago.

Her fiance graduated from Miami University with a degree in political science and business legal studies. He works as business development manager for Arrive Logistics in Austin.
