Miss Battee, Mr. Washington will marry

GIRARD

The Rev. Cicero and Michelle Battee of Girard are announcing the engagement of their daughter, ShaKari Battee, and Adrian Washington, both of Dallas. Parents of the future groom are the late John H. and Helen E. Washington.

A wedding ceremony is planned for 2 p.m. Aug. 20 at St. Demetrios Banquet Center in Warren, where a reception will follow.

The bride-elect studied nursing at the University of Arlington. She is employed as a financial screener at JPS Trauma Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mr. Washington graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in business administration, and is employed as a quality assurance technician for FedEx.
