Man indicted for Sharon Line homicide

A Mahoning County grand jury indicted a Shady Run Road man in the death of a Masury man July 15.
Akeem Brown, 26, was indicted Thursday on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm, all with firearm specifications.
Brown is charged in the death of Anthony Bianco, 51, who was found in a burning car at Seifert and Knapp avenues on the East Side. An autopsy later determined Bianco was shot; however the car was not set on fire but caught on fire on its own after running in high grass for several hours, authorities said.
Brown and a woman, Destaney Phillips, 21, were both arrested last week in connection with Bianco’s death. The grand jury, however, did not return an indictment against Phillips.
The grand jury also indicted five men in a home invasion and shooting incident June 12 and June 14 on the South Side involving the same victim.
Facing two counts each of aggravated robbery and felonious assault, three counts of kidnapping, four counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, and discharge of a firearm at or near a prohibited premises are Wayne Martin, 34, of Tod Lane; Terrell Martin, 36, of Tod Lane; Derail Whitted, 27, of West Princeton Avenue; Saeed Garner, 31, of Lanterman Avenue; and Anthony J. Anderson, 30, of Woodview Avenue.
The men are accused of attacking a man in his home June 12 and then taking another shot at him June 14 as he was walking on a street.
The grand jury also indicted these people on these charges:

Brookelynn A. Frantz, 18, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs.
Allena M. Heriot, 31, Miller Street, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs.
Justin Hess, 25, Georgetown Place, Austintown, using sham legal process, tampering with records, identity fraud, telecommunications fraud and grand theft.
Michael L. Miller, 48, West Earle Avenue, aggravated trafficking in drugs, two counts of trafficking in drugs and trafficking in marijuana with forfeiture specifications.
Ramon Tyrone Taylor, 47, East Chalmers Avenue, possession of cocaine and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Michael J. McCullough, 33, South Palmyra Road, Canfield, aggravated menacing and telecommunications harassment.
Nijah S. McCarthy, 23, of Detroit, receiving stolen property and fraudulent actions concerning vehicle identification number.
Silvester Cox, 52, East Avondale Avenue, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and tampering with evidence.
Brandon Liggens, 36, Cordova Avenue, two counts of felonious assault, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, tampering with evidence, two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, assault and two counts of endangering children.
Walter Pearson, also known as Charles Pullen, 34, Wellington Avenue, possession of heroin.
Jason Crawley, 34, Mistletoe Avenue, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, aggravated possession of drugs with forfeiture specifications, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Kaevon Green, 22, Mahoning Avenue, carrying concealed weapons and possession of heroin.
