Liberty hires Akron consulting firm for upcoming contract negotiations

LIBERTY — Township trustees voted today to enter into a one-year contract with human-resources firm Clemans Nelson & Associates of Akron. Trustees said they plan to use the firm for 2016 contract negotiations.

The contract stipulates the township will pay a consultant a $175 monthly retainer, in addition to an hourly rate for on-site visits. The hourly rates are $95 for a consultant; $135 for a senior consultant; $150 for a manager; and $160 for a director, vice president or president.

For each visit, a consultant must receive pay for at least four hours of work and reimbursement for travel. The contract extends through Aug. 11, 2017.
