ATHLETIC GROUPS

CLASSES
The Rayen School Class of 1959 will meet for its monthly luncheon at noon Wednesday at Stonebridge Grille & Tavern, 1497 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. All classmates, spouses and guests are welcome. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month.

GROUPS
World War II Heritage Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield, for a buffet dinner, and a discussion by Kat Heintzelman will follow. She will share the story of her father, who served as a crew chief of a Skyraider in Vietnam from 1963 to 1965. GUILDS
Holborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Western Reserve Village Gardens at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Take gloves, trash bags and garden tools for a summer cleanup in preparation for the fair. In the event of rain, the cleanup will be moved to the following week. Canfield Republican Women’s Club dinner meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 7 at A La Cart in Canfield. Jim Tressel, president of Youngstown State University, will be speaking about YSU’s future and ties with the community. Sara Pretoka, a criminal justice major at YSU, will share her experience as an honorary delegate to the Republican National Convention. The buffet menu will comprise chicken francaise, baked fish, red-skin mashed potatoes, California blend vegetables, tossed salad, relish tray and brownie sundae. The cost is $15 per person.
