Mahoning Valley auto sales down in July
YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning Valley auto sales were down 19 percent in July.
In July 2016, Valley automakers sold 4,363 new and used vehicles compared with 5,281 sold in July 2015, according to data released by the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association.
The data comes from vehicle titles processed by the final business day each month at county title departments.
For the year so far, new and used sales are 30,950 compared with 32,992 at this time last year.
The area’s new auto sales in July dropped by 554 year over year to 2,514. Used sales dropped by 330 to 1,796.
