What: Family Fun Fridays. Each Friday, take part in fun drop-in activities in the Family Garden. Learn about the different parts of plants and what makes them grow. Special guests visit each week with activities like yoga, storytelling and more.

FORESTRY CONFERENCE
When: Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What: Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry and the University of Mount Union bring together a group of specialists in the field of urban forestry. Each presenter will address tree issues that affect anyone living in an urban setting. Storm mitigation and planning, as well as tree-risk assessment, are examples of the topics that will be discussed. Open to the public.

CARNATION DAYS FESTIVAL
When: Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
What: Wildlife Hike ‘N’ Seek. A family-friendly, self-guided hike for all ages. Life-size wildlife images will be hidden along the trails, and it is your task to find them. Refreshments will be provided before and after the hike. No registration required.

SCULPTURAL FLOWER POTS
When: Tuesday, 6 to 7:30 pm
Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens, 12 and older.
What: Hypertufa is a lightweight cement-based mixture we will be using to cast custom flower pots. Learning and using this basic casting process will prepare you to make casts as a way of reproducing and creating unique sculptural elements for your home or garden. Dan Dinsio, Italian-trained stone sculptor, will lead you through the process. All materials included. Register and pay by Aug 14.
