Autumn Hines pleads in stabbing death
YOUNGSTOWN
A woman charged in the stabbing death of a man last May today pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
Judge Lou D'Apolito accepted the plea from Autumn Hines, 20, who was originally charged with murder for the May 19, 2015, stabbing death of Rashad Bailey, 23, who reports said was stabbed after an argument with Hines.
Reports said Hines told police Bailey had punched her in the mouth before he was stabbed. Investigators said Hines had filed several complaints against Bailey because of his treatment of her but she never filed charges.
Judge D'Apolito also entered into the record evidence that Hines was abused by Bailey.
Prosecutors are recommending probation. She had spent several months in jail before being released on bond.
