Warren man and woman facing drug abuse charges

A Warren man and woman are facing drug abuse charges after being arrested for shoplifting from Old Navy on Monday.

Police initiated a traffic stop on Ashley Buskirk, 29, and Cody Kale, 23, of Mahoning Avenue near the store located on Boardman-Poland Road.

Officers searched the suspects and their vehicle, reportedly finding $105.58 of stolen clothing, two hypodermic needles and a burnt spoon with heroin residue on it.

The couple also had an active theft warrant after shoplifting from a Kohl's on Boardman-Poland Road in July.

Police arrested the two for theft, illegal drug use and possession of drug abuse instruments.
