Man accused of stealing car to get home from hospital

A Youngstown man is accused of stealing a car Friday to get home from St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.

The owner reported her car was missing after helping her mother into the hospital located on Market Street. Witnesses reported Andre Edwards, 19, of Erie Street, was trying to get home after being treated and took the vehicle.

Police found the car abandoned on East Judson Avenue and found him at his residence. Edwards is charged with grand theft auto.
