East Liverpool man killed in Sunday crash

LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIIP — The Lisbon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident about 6:50 p.m. Sunday that killed an East Liverpool man.

A news release from the post said Glenn E. Collins Jr., 67, was driving south on Parkway Avenue when his vehicle went off the side of the road, hit a ditch and then flew through the air. The vehicle overturned before coming to a stop, the release said.

The release said Collins was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant of the vehicle, the release said.

The release said Collins was not wearing his seat belt and alcohol is suspected as being a factor in the crash. An investigation continues.
