UW of Mercer County’s annual meeting is Wednesday

The United Way of Mercer County will have its 41st annual meeting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at Avalon at Buhl Park, 1030 Forker Blvd.
New members being elected to the United Way board are Sandi Carangi, CEO of the Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union; Marty Taylor, branch manager of Huntington Bank; Gerald Smith, police chief for Sharon; Jason Roeback, CEO of Sharon Regional Health System; and Wilma Torres, president and CEO of the Community Action Partnership Mercer County.
Outgoing board members are Corry Schachern and Tina Cascio.
The 2016-2017 officers for the UWMC board are Mark Ferrara, chairman; Bob Piccirilli, vice-chairman; Brain Nespor, treasurer; Gina Beach, personnel committee; Angela Palumbo, allocations chairwoman; Dom Vadala, building and grounds chairman; Janice Schwanbeck, public relations chairwoman; Sharon Sorg, planning division chairwoman; Bill Gathers, Success By 6TM community liaison; and Hope Couch, public policy chairwoman.
The general body members are Carangi, Roeback, Taylor and Torres, as well as Lora Adams-King, Ken Ammann, Kim Anglin, Tim Feeney, Stephanie Gantz, Cheryl Goldstone, Brad Gosser, Brandy Hammerschmidt, Chuck Jackson, Diana Jones, Thom Kwolek, Gregg McCandless, Lonnie McFall, Robert Miller, Chrissy Multari, Joni Murray, Randy Seitz, Gerald Smith and Chris Wright.
The meeting will include presentations by Nicole Billak, project coordinator for Success by 6TM 2016, who will give an overview of the program; Carangi will discuss financial literacy; Piccirilli, a branch manager for PNC Bank, will discuss 2016 highlights; and Palumbo will explore impact funding for UWMC.
