AUGUST

Friday — Pizza Splash 5K in downtown Warren. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Trumbull Family Fitness Center (formerly the YMCA), Race begins at 7 p.m. Entry fee is $18 if runners register in advance or $20 on race day. Register online and get more information at gopherarun.com.

Saturday — Compassion 5k Run/2-mile walk at Roosevelt Park in Campbell. Kids Fun Dash at 8:30 a.m., 5k race at 8:45 a.m., 5k race at 8:45 a.m. and a 2-mile walk at 9:45 a.m. Race-day registration runs from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Cost is $15 if received by Aug. 10 an $20 the day of the race. SEPTEMBER

10 — First Strasburg 5k run/walk, a fund-raiser for the Strasburg Lions Scholarship Fund and the Strasburg Food Bank. Entry fee is $20 for pre-registered participants, $25 on race day and $10 for runners under 18. The event starts at the Strasburg-Franklin Local School District Administration building with a Kids Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. followed by the 5k at 9:30 a.m.
