Hubbard girls dominate at Borland Golf junior tourney
NEW WILMINGTON, PA.
Players from Hubbard dominated the girls upper age divisions in the Borland Golf Center Junior Tournament on Aug. 3. Sky Ladig won the girls 16-18 division with a 35 and Alexandria Chiaberta (36) was second. Jackie Adler (41) won the girls 13-15 division, followed by Isabella Serrano (47) and Amanda Trinckes (47). All five are from Hubbard.
Jacob Deal (36), of Wampum, Pa., won the boys 13-15 division, followed by Cameron Colbert (36) of Hermitage, Pa., and Justin Lockley (36) of Neshannock, Pa. Eli Ellison (35) of Mercer, Pa., won the boys 11-12 division, followed by Payton Weaver (43) and Brendan Geiger (53), both of Neshannock. Mason Ruffner (46) won the boys 8-10 division and Jake Natale (51) was second. Both are also from Neshannock.
Graham, McClure among Olde Dutch Mill junior winners
LAKE MILTON
Jacob Sysak of Mineral Ridge won a $500 scholarship and Warren JFK’s Jimmy Graham and Southeast’s Macy McClure won the top age-division titles in the Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course Junior Tournament on July 18.
Graham shot a 74 in the boys 15-18 division and McClure shot an 80 in the girls 15-18 division. Other champions included Sysak (boys 13-15), Laney Miller (girls 13-15), Dominic Kapics (boys 11-12), Jayne Bernard (girls 11-12), Nathan Fulks (boys 8-10) and Shaylee Macaulay (girls 8-10). Sysak shot an 81, Miller shot a 105, Kapics shot a 46 (nine holes), Bernard shot a 44, Fulks shot a 58 and Macaulay shot a 63.
