Youngstown man injured in jump from window

YOUNGSTOWN

A Youngstown man was injured while jumping out a second story window of an Ellenwood Avenue home off Market Street on the city’s South Side Saturday afternoon, attempting to escape police serving several warrants on him.

Police would not comment on the incident, which occurred about 5 p.m., but the suspect’s mother said her son ran into her home and then jumped out of a second-floor window injuring his knee.

Other witnesses said the man was captured by police outside of a nearby burned-out home a few houses away and taken away in an ambulance.
