Nominations are open for March of Dimes leadership award


YOUNGSTOWN

The March of Dimes of Northeast Ohio is accepting nominations for the Franklin D. Roosevelt Community Leadership Award, designed to honor community leaders whose commitment to “Giving every baby a fighting chance” is unsurpassed and demonstrated through a spirit of caring in the community.

Nominees should be community leaders who motivate and inspire others while demonstrating the ability to take charge and champion for the health of children.

Northeast Ohio organizations and individuals are eligible to receive this award.

Any individual, local organization or community group can submit a nomination.

Self-nominations will be accepted.

The March of Dimes’ independent Maternal Children’s Health Committee will select a recipient. Nominations are due Oct. 1.

The recipient will be honored at the Mahoning Valley Signature Chefs Auction on Oct. 24 at Stambaugh Auditorium.
