Feast of Assumption annual celebration
CAMPBELL
LaSocieta DiSanta Lucia Cultural Society at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish plans its annual celebration of the Feast of the Assumption on Aug. 15.
A Mass will take place at 5:30 p.m. at St. Lucy Church, 394 Tenney Ave., followed by a procession, benediction and reception at the Palermo Center, Tenney Avenue. All are welcome.
Bethel COG plans 95th celebration
YOUNGSTOWN
Bethel Church of God in Christ, 3147 Glenwood Ave., will celebrate its 95th anniversary/homecoming this month during a three-day observance. Elder Ross Johnson is pastor.
At 7 p.m. Aug. 26, the Rev. Michael Harrison, pastor of the Union Baptist Church, will be guest speaker.
An anniversary and homecoming celebration festival is planned from noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 27 on church grounds with food, fun and fellowship. Gospel musical selections will be presented by guest choirs, groups and soloists. Elder Lamar Thomas will be the speaker.
At a service set for 10 a.m. Aug. 28, Elder Ernest Fields, pastor of the Calvary Hill Church of God in Christ in Cleveland, will be guest speaker.

Trips planned
Leetonia
Jesus “The Key” Ministry is sponsoring trips, and the proceeds send inner-city children to camp.
A trip to Noah’s Ark & Creation Museum in Williamstown, Ky., will be Aug. 17 and 18, departing from First Christian Church in Columbiana. Cost is $214.

Mission trip
MINERAL RIDGE
First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge sent 11 young adults on a mission trip June 11-20 to Peru. During worship at 10 a.m. Aug. 14, they will share their stories and pictures with the congregation. They have also planned a prepared brunch to follow the service.
The church worked for more than a year raising money for this mission.
The Rev. Jamie Milton, pastor, led the team. He made arrangements through Jed and Jenny Koball, Presbyterian Church (USA) mission co-workers in Peru.
Now Creations
CANFIELD
Now Creations will conduct a service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Ursuline Center auditorium, 4280 Shields Road.
Maureen Collins will present music; Vince Lisi, the message; and Bob Cene Jr., meditation.
Now Creations regularly schedules a service the first Sunday of the month.
Gospel revival concerts set
North East Ohio Gospel Music Revival will host a two-day event.
A concert is set for 6 p.m. Friday at Cornerstone Assembly of God, 185 W. South Range Road, North Lima.
Rogers Assembly of God, 8251 Sprucevale Road, Rogers, will host a concert at 5 p.m. Aug. 13.
Performers will be Sons of Liberty of Stanton, Ky.; Morse Family of McComb, Ohio; Nicholas Naylor Ministries of Pinch, W.Va.; Calvary’s Love of Doylestown, Ohio; Glorybound of Negley, Ohio; and Weavers Believers Survival Revival of Sautee-Nacoochee, Ga.
The Ladies Auxiliary and youth groups will sponsor food sales for one hour before the concerts.
Concerts are free but a free-will offering will be taken.
